Stud Services

Uprise Retrievers follows the Golden Retriever Club of America's Code of Ethics.  Before inquiring, please make sure you are familiar with the COE and your female has the required health testing.

GRCA COE

For Consideration females must have the following:

Health Testing (Must be published to OFA)

  • OFA Hips
  • OFA Elbows
  • Heart
  • Eyes

Recommended DNA Tests

  • NCL
  • Ichthyosis 
  • prcd-PRA
  • PRA1
  • PRA2

Other Items

Females must have a brucellosis test within 30 days of breeding.  Priority will be given to breeders with prior whelping and puppy raising experience.

Local clinics that will collect and ship semen are Interstate Vet Clinic and Horizon Pet Care - both are in Brandon, SD.  All collection and shipping expenses are the responsibility of the bitch owner.

We are located in Sioux Falls, SD.  Natural breedings are always an option and it's not unusual for bitch owners to turn a trip for live cover into a hunting trip if the timing works out!
