Burn has got an intensity in the field that is unlike any golden I've ever met. Off the field, he is a very social dog. He's wonderful with puppies and gets along great with my other intact males. He doesn't know what quit means. He attracts a lot of attention when competing because of his explosive energy.
Burn stands 23" and weighs 63 lbs. He has sired two litters (11 and 9 puppies), and his offspring are thriving in a variety of homes — from active pet families to high-level trial homes. I personally raised one puppy to nearly six months of age and remain in contact with several others locally. Feedback from owners and trainers has been overwhelmingly positive, and several of Burn’s second litter was placed through referrals from his first.
Burn is a powerful, high-drive dog who thrives under clear expectations. He works for anyone and is routinely handled by novice trainers; however, he will test boundaries if standards are not upheld. For that reason, he is best paired with bitches that are biddable and handler-focused rather than independent or overly strong-willed. He complements females that could benefit from added drive, intensity, and bottom.
Burn’s drive does not come at the expense of temperament. He has a reliable off-switch, lives easily in the house, and is socially stable with people and other dogs.
I prefer to work with breeders who are actively involved in the breed — those competing in performance venues or proving their females in the field. His pups would not be suited to anything less than a very active home.
