Rio was my first field dog purchased to do upper level field work. As a Novice A handler, everything we've attempted has been with both of us as newbies. I'm extremely lucky to have a dog as consistent, honest, and happy to do whatever job I ask of him.
Rio is a talented, biddable dog whose work ethic, marking ability, and trainability make him a joy to develop and compete with. He brings balance, try, and a thoughtful temperament that translates well both in training and in the home. He's incredibly smart and a really honest dog. He is naturally polite with people, neutral with other dogs, and very adaptable in new environments. He's the dog that my friends want to introduce their less confident puppies to because he creates a low pressure environment for the pup to explore.
Rio's kids show a lot of natural ability and have a high desire to work for their people. He's got pups in hunting homes, obedience homes, scent work, and field. I personally own a Rio daughter and think she's got even more field potential than her father.
I am interested in a stud fee puppy out of Rio. I would have strict pedigree requirements but would be happy to discuss with anyone interested.
